Winter Walks

Winter is a perfect  time to walk our local paths. On the  right  day, snowy woodlands, sparkling snow and blue skies  lift the  spirits.

As the  festive  season approaches remember one  mincemeat pie needs an hour of brisk walking to maintain the balance.  A can of beer or measure  of wine also need about an hour of brisk walking, and a turkey dinner will merit about 8 hours. However, you can spread that across a  few days to maximise the enjoyment.

Remember, there is no such  thing as  bad  weather- just the wrong clothes.

Listed below are 4 short  walks well suited to a winter's day.
