Starting at the Learney Arms go down Monboddo Road and follow the track up to the old gates to Craigmyle House crossing the bridge over the Learney Burn. Go through the partially closed iron gates and follow the path up to Craigmyle House and go left at the top. Pass out of the drive and bear left around the bungalow and follow the track to the metal gate which is frequently closed and has to  be climbed. Drop down through Crow Wood and follow the path leading through Church Wood. At the exit of Church Wood go right along Craigmyle Road and take the right fork leading past Robert Addison haulier yard and onto Mill Pond.
